A very belated Happy New Year to everyone.
January can be a notoriously slow month in the acting profession (well that’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it! 😜😜) but I’m happy to say I have been darting into London for a few castings! I’m delighted to have been offered a couple of great jobs off the back of it too, I’ll be able to reveal more in time but it’s always nice to get those first few gigs in the locker after Christmas!
This week I had a lovely lunch meeting with actor/writer Stephen Kearney who, along with his wife, has written a fantastic sitcom which I have a feeling will be a great success. He has offered me the leading lady role and I don’t mind telling you all she is absolutely fabulous! Stephen is working with Bou Mou Productions (my hubby and I’s production company) to put the funding in place and shoot our pilot later this year, so watch this space! :)
I have also been offered a very cool role in a music video inspired by the Peaky Blinders opposite my good friend Glen Power. As some of you may know, Glen and I have worked together before and I am very excited to be working alongside him once again! The song is great and I know it will look fabulous too. I worked with Glen most recently on a film concept shoot for the feature film screenplay Chiku San as well as the short film Theseus... some pics below!
From music videos to film screenings… The delightful duo at Misty Moon (AKA Stuart and Jen Morriss) screened the very scary Ripper Tour recently, a film I made alongside horror legend Lynn Lowry and Lovejoy’s Dudley Sutton. It was also Stuart’s 50th birthday party so we celebrated with all the Misty Moon gang at The Phoenix Artist Club in Soho! My husband came too so we danced the night away like we were 21 again, needless to say we suffered a bit the next day! 😱 A great night had by all!
Also, my little Hugo has been modelling some fabulous clothes recently for new kids’ fashion brands Wild Kind Kids and Small Stories! He absolutely loves being in front of the camera... I wonder who he takes after??
On that note, much to my Dad’s delight we have some vintage footage of me many moons ago showing just a whiff of becoming a diva!! 😂 I have changed honestly... here I am below performing a little play.. enjoy!
My final bit of news is that Bou Mou’s short film Ghost Nets (that I starred in) is now available on Amazon Prime to rent, a bargain at 99p I think you’ll agree :)
That’s it from me! I’ll be sure to blog again very soon.
