September 2016

9/5/2016

Hi all,

As we welcome September I am actually very excited about the Autumnal months ahead with the warm clothes, hot drinks, chilly brisk walks and conker quests! However, I'm not quite ready to let go of the warm weather quite yet, I would still like a few more weeks of sunny days and al fresco dining! :)

I was lucky enough to be cast for a shoot in Milan recently.  It was a really quick turnaround of flying out, getting to my hotel room and having a LARGE glass of what tasted like prosecco (I did ask for wine - so I was delighted when I got this super sized glass!) :) :) After that I had a quick shower and got myself straight to bed; with a call time of 7am there unfortunately wasn't much of a chance to enjoy the hotel or Milan itself.
The next morning the weather was warm and surroundings beautiful and off I went to the shoot.  The shoot itself was a commercial for Italian Medical Healthcare providers.  It was all really good fun and quite intense as we had to fit it all in within a short timescale and I finally wrapped about 6pm! Just enough time to get myself back to the airport and back home to my family! In my opinion the best place to be in the world :)
I have a couple of films doing really well on the Festival circuit, Ghost Nets, which I did last year has now earned another Laurel from the East Coast Film Festival making that a grand total of 4! So delighted and proud to be a part of this film not only has it got a great cast and crew but my talented husband directed it and I couldn't be prouder :)

I had a great day out at the Faversham Hop Festival this weekend just gone! I went with my boys and I enjoyed a couple of cheeky drinks, some yummy food, a dance and a delightful display of hops in my hair!
You can see above Hugo (our son), he is 3 now and he loves nothing more than making "pretend" ice cream.   I've had all matters of concoctions going on this last week... Vinegar, salt, pepper, banana going into the bowl, "All topped off with a bit of chocolate Mummy" he said! No surprises, the chocolate didn't make it to the bowl, reached his mouth OK though!! I am loving this age, lots of fun and laughter (and hard work!! )

We had a photoshoot together recently too which was a wonderful experience, he's a natural in front of the camera and already loves performing for us at home, can't think where he gets that from!  ;)
That's it from me.

Thanks for reading
