It's been a while since I last blogged and I have had a really busy few weeks! As an actress I have always loved the idea of transforming for a role, Cate Blanchett is one of my icons as she completely envelops the character and is not afraid of the transformation and playing against type! So....I was delighted when I got a phone call from award winning (Raindance!) indie film maker Marc Price to ask if I would like to play a zombie (a gold one I might add) in a new commercial for Last Empire War Z with internet star Julius Dein, yes there is a pecking order even where zombies are concerned.. 😉😂 Anyway being a gold zombie meant I got the works, prosthetics, make up, costume and it took just over two hours in total to complete the look (no jokes please)! Someone told me, "You looked like Charlize Theron...." I basked in the huge compliment for a second before they continued with "...in Monster!" Anyhow , the shoot was a blast! I loved every minute of it and here are a few pics and a short video below...
I also got the opportunity to work on a short film produced by the amazing Misty Moon team Stuart and Jen Morris called Bad Friday! It was such a good afternoon, really fun script and I was in the company of writer and lead actor Dave Barry, Gary Shail ( Quadrophenia), Vera Day ( Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels) & Emma Dark (award winning director/actress) so it felt great to be part of the team. Stuart and Jen are super lovely, and I'm delighted to be working with them again in the Autumn! Some snaps below :) I did a nice little European commercial shoot with the gorgeous Darcy recently! She was such a star having recently finished a one year run as Young Cosette in Les Miserables in the West End and such a little pro! Talent and beauty...well you can't complain about that can you?! It's always lovely to work with young talented children! A few pictures of the day below Lastly, I have recently been shortlisted for a feature film to be shot in the Summer so fingers crossed!
