I know it’s been some time since I’ve blogged, and sadly for good reason. It's not something I feel comfortable talking about publicly at the moment but I’m heartbroken to say my beautiful Mum recently passed away. After the most brave of fights for just over a year she lost her battle to cancer. The pain is still very raw and I'm finding things very hard but I know my Mum would want me to carry on so I am (I have to) and I can do this with the support of my wonderful husband, son, family, friends and of course my wonderful Dad. I will maybe write a more personal blog dedicated to my Mum when the time feels right in the future. 💗 Before this devastating news I found myself at the film premiere of one of my latest short films Bad Friday (Jason Read/2017) produced by the amazing duo at Misty Moon, Stuart and Jen Morris. The Premiere was at a great central London venue called the Phoenix Arts Club, right in the heart of theatre land near Shaftesbury Avenue. First we watched the hilarious new play by writer/ actor David Barry (The Life and Times of Frankie Abbott) who brought back to life his character from hit 70s show Please Sir! After that (and a few glasses of wine) it was time for the film to be screened to the full house (help!). The film was awash with iconic talent - original blonde bombshell (and star of Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels) Vera Day and Quadrophenia’s Gary Shail! Also, any modern horror fans would have had their fix of Emma Dark who had a starring role too! The evening was topped off by some stars watching in the audience too with Lovejoy’s Dudley Sutton in attendance, me and the hubby managed to get a few snaps…well, it would be rude not to! From film premieres to commercial shoots, I was delighted to see my latest commercial on TV the other day! My son Hugo (aged 4) couldn't quite work out what I was doing on the telly, bless him. It was for MyBeautyMatches and I was advertising the face wash! Talking of Hugo, my little man made his debut in his first ever official photoshoot for the Boots Mini Club Christmas range last week! His first ever casting and he only goes and gets it!! I need some of his luck me thinks... I can't put any pictures out yet but I will do once the range has been launched! He is following in his Mummies footsteps as my poster campaign is out now! Final picture below. A real high point in a difficult time was making my feature film debut, I got to work on Breezeblock Productions latest feature film Relentless alongside Steven Murphy. It was shooting on location in Bournemouth and we had a great day for filming. It was great to finally work with Steven, Tiffany and the super crew they put together, I felt the scenes went well so hopefully they'll make the final cut! Thanks for reading
