Well, here we are with my last blog of 2017 and undoubtedly the worst year of my life. As some of my regular readers will know I lost my Mum this year and it has truly broken my heart. It’s a daily battle riding the waves of grief but I have an amazing support network so can feel very grateful for that. I will dedicate a blog to my beautiful Mum when the time is right but I don't feel able to summon the correct words to describe how I feel at the moment. I would, however, like to add this picture of my Mum and Dad on their Wedding Day! They were married for 47 years (and would have been 48 today on 20/12/17) and utterly devoted to each other. Happy Christmas Mum, this photo is for you. 💔⭐️
Work wise it has actually been very very busy... so I am delighted to announce that I am the leading lady in British Gangster Movie 8ish which shoots next year!! I cannot wait, it stars Larry Lamb amongst others and I will be playing opposite the fabulous Luing Andrews as his mistress... it’s going to be explosive... a few promotional pictures below , plus a link to the full cast on IMDB!
I still love working on short film, it’s where it all starts and invariably you get to work with some super talented cast and crew. The Escapist by Elizabeth Pitkin was no exception, I played Morana, a lady stuck in an unhappy marriage riddled with insecurities. It was a fantastic shoot up in Shropshire and I cannot wait to see the final result, some pictures below plus the teaser trailer...Enjoy!
From films to commercials, I was delighted to be asked to lead in the new British Heart Foundation commercial. It’s an amazing charity and I played a “jogger”, I really enjoyed the shoot although it was absolutely freezing, don’t be fooled by the pics below! After the shoot I had to record some voice over - lip syncing (ADR) can be tricky so you really have to focus to get it right.
Finally, a bit about Bou Mou Productions ( mine and the hubby's boutique production company). We have finally completed our feature film screenplay Chiku San ( it has won awards already) and we put together a concept photoshoot with a few talented actors to help promote it! We had great fun, with lots of amazing people, I played a futuristic medic called Dr Rachel Hesnjiak. As you can see from the pictures I had a bit of a rough ride... 😂 Enjoy a few pics from the day and a little behind the scenes video!
On the subject of Bou Mou, we were honoured to be invited onto Channel Radio with the marvellous David Barry to talk about all things business, family and life in general! It was a really enjoyable show and once we get the recording I’ll be sure to add some to my blog.
That’s it from me for 2017, I’m looking forward to a peaceful and hopefully healthy new year. With great family and friends, work lined up and a holiday abroad I’ll be going into 2018 grateful for what I have.
Happy Christmas everyone. Much love,
Charlotte 🎄🎅🏽⭐️ x x x.
